SARAH LENTZ SPELLMAN
DIRECTOR

Sarah Lentz Spellman has over twenty years of diverse experience in the healthcare and long-term care industries. She brings extensive experience in fundraising, marketing, program development and operations management in both home care and campus based settings. Most recently, Ms. Spellman was Assistant Executive Director of Meadow Lakes, the oldest CCRC in New Jersey, where she was responsible for all health care related services. While at Meadow Lakes, her achievements included growing the campus-based private duty program revenue by 50% in one year to $2.4 million and achieving a five-star nursing home rating through the Medicare Nursing Home Compare program. Years earlier Ms. Spellman served as Chief Operating Officer of Cadbury Senior Services, where she was a member of the senior management team for a CCRC serving over 500 seniors both on and off campus.

When she first joined Cadbury in 1998, Ms. Spellman developed the first CCRC based continuing care at home program in the country, Cadbury Continuing Care at Home. Under Ms. Spellman’s direction, Cadbury at Home grew from a concept to a going concern serving over 200 members throughout a five county area in southern New Jersey. In 2000, the organization was recognized with both the AAHSA and NJAHSA Innovation of the Year Awards.

Ms. Spellman holds a Bachelors Degree in Education and a Masters Degree in Public Administration. She is licensed as a Nursing Home Administrator. Since joining Third Age, Ms. Spellman has focused in the areas of strategic planning, program development, market analysis, operations management, performance improvement, survey and accreditation preparation and sales and marketing management for both campus-based and home and community-based services.
