Prior to joining Third
Age in 2002, Heather Kostival served as the Director of Marketing and
Admissions for an assisted living community with one of the largest
senior housing and retirement service providers in the Philadelphia area. In this role, Ms. Kostival conducted various market research
projects on topics such as: facility amenities, staff and resident
wellness programs, and competitor studies pertaining to services and
pricing.
Heather also has experience as a marketer for a
durable medical equipment (DME) company in Chester County, Pennsylvania. With this company, Ms. Kostival developed and promoted a
comprehensive pulmonary rehabilitation/senior fitness program to
provide a niche service in the highly competitive DME market.
Ms. Kostival earned her Bachelor of Science in
Kinesiology from West Chester University in 1996 and has considerable experience in designing exercise
programs, specifically for older adults. She received her Masters of
Science in Long Term Care Administration from West Chester University
in 2001 and also completed a training course to become a CCAC
(Continuing Care Accreditation Commission) Evaluator.
As a member of the Third Age staff, Heather has
managed numerous market studies and strategic planning assignments.
Her area of expertise includes: competitor research, site reviews,
analysis of demographic data, conducting focus groups and interviews,
analysis of satisfaction surveys, and other industry-related research
activities.
