Brent Bayes has nearly 20 years experience in the senior living and health care field. As a former CPA with a Masters in Accounting from the University of South Florida, Brent has spent a large part of his career developing financial models and preparing market and financial feasibility studies for Continuing Care Retirement Communities.
Earlier in his career, Brent was Senior Associate with Coopers & Lybrand, LLP and served as Senior Analyst with Ziegler Capital Markets Group where he was personally involved in over $500 million of bond financing for long-term care organizations. More recently he served as Retirement Counselor for Shell Point Retirement Community, the largest retirement community in Florida, as part of a team responsible for marketing a Type A Life Care product and achieving sales in excess of 200 independent units per year. This experience gives Brent a unique perspective in the industry with his knowledge of both the financial and marketing sides of Continuing Care Retirement Communities.
Brent graduated with a B.S. in Finance from the University of Florida in 1994 and a Master’s in Accounting from the University of South Florida in 1996. He has also worked as a CPA in the state of Florida and as a Certified Nursing Assistant while attending college.
